SIP Trunking
SIP trunking is a method of delivering voice over the Internet (VoIP), replacing legacy solutions such as analog lines (POTS) and digital PRIs. SIP trunks are delivered to a PBX over dedicated circuits or existing public/private connectivity.
To fill out the SIP Trunking form, follow these steps:
Voice Setup: List the make and model of your current PBX(es). Indicate whether they can accept SIP directly or require a PRI handoff. If you have multiple PBXes that require different setups, select 'Mix of both'.
Current Voice Setup: Specify your current voice setup such as POTS lines, PRIs, SIP trunks, or other systems.
Current Voice Provider(s): List your current carriers or vendors providing voice services.
Dedicated Connectivity: Indicate if you need dedicated connectivity for voice. This could be a separate circuit for voice only, or you may use existing Internet circuits or MPLS.
Domestic Requirements:
Enter the number of users who will use the service.
List how many direct inward dialing (DID) numbers and toll-free numbers you need.
If applicable, note the number of call center agents.
Provide your average monthly inbound and outbound minutes.
Specify any requirements for POTS lines.
International Requirements: State whether you have international locations that also require voice services.
Administration: Fill in your contact and company information including first and last name, title, email address, phone number, number of employees, industry, and headquarters address.
This structured input will help providers understand your current setup and your needs for transitioning to or enhancing your SIP Trunking services.
