Infrastructure as a Service
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provides virtual or physical servers on demand. The servers, storage, and network hardware are located in the provider's data center and abstracted from the customer.
To complete the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) form effectively, follow these steps:
Project Goal and Motivation: Describe the main objective of adopting IaaS and select the reasons for considering this service, such as hardware refresh or scalability.
Current and Desired Platform: Indicate your current infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and the platform(s) you desire to move to.
Environment Purpose: Specify the environment type, whether it's for Production, Test/Dev, Backup/DR, etc.
Consumption Model: Choose your desired billing model, like steady-state or burstable, to match your usage patterns.
Server and Storage Details: Provide the total number of virtual servers, vCPUs, RAM, and both provisioned and used disk space.
Physical Server Needs: Decide if you require physical servers and specify the operating systems in use.
Managed Services: Select any managed services needed such as OS patching or application management.
Migration Services: Indicate if you need help with migrating to the cloud and the type of migration support required.
Compliance and Security: List any compliance standards applicable and security services needed.
Data Center Locations: Choose preferred data center locations.
Applications to Host: Identify key applications you plan to host, such as ERP, CRM, or custom applications.
Network and Backup Requirements: Specify your network topology, backup software, and retention policy.
Budget and Timeline: Input your budget and the expected "Go Live" date.
Administrative Details: Fill in contact and company information.
Before submitting, you may attach any relevant documents that provide additional details about your requirements, such as server lists or network diagrams.
