Managed Services
Managed Services are generally remote, 24x7 services for IT infrastructure. They include proactive monitoring and alerting, patch management, engineering support, reporting and metrics, help desk for end users, and related maintenance and support. Managed Services support various IT environments, including on-premises, colocation, private cloud, and public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
Here’s how to fill out the Managed Services form:
Project Goal: Describe what you hope to achieve by engaging a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
Reason for Considering a New MSP: Select the reasons that apply, such as lack of in-house expertise, support for legacy systems, or to replace your current MSP.
IT Infrastructure Location: Specify where your IT infrastructure is located—On-Premises, Colocation, Private Cloud, or Public Cloud.
Outsourcing Relationship: Indicate whether you are already outsourcing the management of this infrastructure.
Assets Needing Management: Check which assets you need to be managed, like Hardware, Operating Systems, Applications, etc.
IT Inventory: If possible, attach a detailed list of IT inventory or provide a brief list including quantities, makes, and models.
Compliance Standards: Select any compliance standards relevant to your organization (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Compliance Maintenance: Describe how you currently maintain compliance.
IT and Total Locations: Enter the number of IT locations in scope and total locations.
Support Model: Choose whether you need Onsite, Remote, or a Mix of both for support.
Support Coverage: Decide between options like 8x5 M-F or 24/7/365 coverage.
Consumption Model: Select how you prefer to be billed—Monthly rate, Block of hours, Retainer, etc.
Tickets Per Month: Estimate the number of support tickets you expect per month.
Outsourced Help Desk: Indicate if you require an Outsourced Help Desk for end users.
Budget: Provide your budget per month for these services.
Administration Details: Fill in administrative details such as name, title, contact information, company size, industry, and headquarters address.
Ensure all required fields are completed to provide a clear and concise request to potential MSPs.
